Micho : We are ready to make life hard for Raja

Al Hilal coach, Serbian Milutin 'Micho'Sredojevich believes that his team’s performance in the Super League Sudanese will be different from that against Morocco's Raja on Friday in the Orange CAF Champions League match. Micho spoke to cafonline.com about the forthcoming encounter.
Cafonline.com: Does it follow that after the tie with Enyimba in Nigeria you will win at home against Morocco’s Raja ?
Micho:First round of Orange Champions League has shown that both groups are balanced after all matches were drawn. There is slight advantage for the teams which were playing away. We got a draw in Nigeria against Enyimba and now we have a huge opportunity for a good performance and positive result to prove our ambitions. So now we to stamp our authority with win at home . It will be very tough match because we play a giant of a team in Raja Casablanca. They have a new successful coach in Ilie Balaci who is keen to lead them to better performance than in their first match .
Cafonline.com: How are you preparing for this first home match ?
Micho: Playing in Africa at home and away has big differences. Whatever the factors such as, weather , field and fans , you need to take care and respect the opponents. This you do by setting the pace of the match and control play perhaps playing fast football ,and trying to use limited chances which come your way. All those are lessons we are looking to learn before facing Raja.
Cafonline.com:What do you read from Raja’s home draw against Cameroon’s Coton Sport ?
Micho:There is saying that goes like « Wounded lions are the most dangerous. » Raja has drawn match at home and they are coming to play against us like wounded lions so we are ready for that. We know that in that match against Coton sport it was not real Raja because of many reasons. I know as a coach who has been following them for years that the biggest reason is that they are in off season their season finished in June and they struggled to get good form .We know thatthey will come to Omdurman with new coach and new spirit but we are ready to make life hard for them because our stadium is very hard place to heal your wounds .We have great respect for them but even more respect for ourselves . Web shall do anything possible to grab our chance and make our supporters proud and happy.
Cafonline.com:What is your strategy to reach the semis ?
Micho:Under given circumstances, two teams which collect maximum points at home will most likely reach semi-final , taking into consideration that they get some points from away matches. And if you want to get any points you need to give blood and sweat. Small details will decide this is why we are working very hard in order to succeed to reach semi-final.
Cafonline: How can Al Hilal fans dispel concern about your inconsistent performance in the local league come the weekend ?
Micho: The season is very long and it is not easy to keep the same level of form all the time on all aspects. All the teams in the world struggle with consistency of performances. We are using local matches as a bridges towards champions league. The league is marathon and with all the difficulties we had with injuries and exhaustion after Chan competition held in Sudan. I think we have done well to achieve our main target of the season, to play in group stage of Champions league.
